Why Frequent Your Local Food Truck Over a Restaurant Chain?

at 2:00PM, Wednesday- April 10th, 2019 by Food Truck Spaces

Support local! That’s why. It’s very important to support your local economy. Each local business gives back about fifty cents on the dollar back into the community. Most large corporations and major chains give back about ten cents on the dollar. The money funneled back into your local economy will provide for a better quality of life.

Better quality of life means better schools, better infrastructure, cleaner streets, less crime, and an overall increase in well-being. Most people don’t realize the importance of supporting local businesses because, to be honest, it’s not always convenient. But the little sacrifice we take to support local will affect every other aspect of our community in a positive way.

What better way to support local than attending local farmer’s markets and eating at your local food trucks! Many food trucks also source their produce from local farms and farmer’s market. In this way, the money stays in the community and the community benefits.

Many food trucks are owned and operated by the owner. Local owners who work on their truck typically provide better quality meals and service. They are also food artists/foodies and have the autonomy to create specialty dishes at reasonable prices. Eating at a local food truck means getting gourmet food, quality service at a reasonable price. You can also tout about supporting local too!
